The December issue of the Old Town Crier
In case you missed it, last month was a milestone for Take Photos Leave Footprints as we expanded our online content into hard copy with our Friends at the Old Town Crier. The Crier news-magazine, which was founded in 1988, has an in-print readership of over 75,000 across Washington D.C, Maryland and Virginia, and Take Photos Leave Footprints content will now be available in hard-copy in over 450 outlets. I’m excited about the opportunity to reach a new audience on the east cost of the US and look forward to sharing my love of travel each month with my new readers.

Watch out for hippos in eSwatini
This month’s Take Photos Leave Footprints double-page spread focuses on one of my favorite times of the travel year – the release of the Lonely Planet annual top ten countries to visit list. This year features some notable inclusions as well as some unexpected destinations (for example, having visited a few times myself, I never thought I’d see the day when Liberia made the cut as a tourist destination). Within the top ten, I focus the article on two destinations that caught my eye; eSwatini and Costa Rica. From world-class safari and dramatic scenery to relaxing beach-side locations, these two countries have something to offer for every type of traveler.
So, if you want to hear more about the many reasons that I focus on eSwatini and Costa Rica for 2020 then make sure to pick up your copy of the Old Town Crier. If you aren’t in the Washington, D.C area then you can also view the December copy of the magazine online on the Old Town Crier website.
